RE: Re-enchantment

Good Gossip

Paper is so common, we forget that it can also be as fine as Pierre Hermé chocolate or vintage silk. And as sensuous. It is the beautiful medium through which we all read and write and organize our world. It is the “concept” of our paper concept store and the object of a quest to bring you the finest and most unique paper creations from our own atelier and around the world.

Lynne remembers, “From the time I was in kindergarten, the most exciting part of going back to school was buying school supplies: the smell of freshly-sharpened pencils, the snowy crispness of a new notebook.” Since then, as a professor, author and editor, paper — and often mountains of it! — have never been far from her fingertips. For Lynne a new project is invariably catalyzed by a lush empty Italian journal and — if she is really lucky — the gift of a new fountain pen.

John is a designer, sculptor and widely published poet. His first installation as a graduate art student at Penn State involved papering the walls of the gallery with pages of newspaper and while his aesthetic has matured (shall we say), the central role that paper plays in his art and design has not.

To these various loves is added the love of travel and the discovery of new paper and paper objects of delight and refinement. Fine paper jewelry, for one, is still almost unheard of in the United States, We invite you to peruse our website and discover paper both in its familiar forms and as you may never have imagined it before.
